  • Why is 512OWC the right program for my wrestler?
    512 Outlaw Wrestling has one of the most knowledge coaching staffs in the state. Our program is designed to develop wrestlers to their maximum potential regardless of the skill sets they possess when they first join the 512OWC Family. We start with focused drilling and techniques on high percentage wrestling, expanding our curriculum to advanced level techniques to shape and further develop our most proficient wrestlers. We treat each student athlete at 512OWC independently, guiding them on a path that will allow them to become the best wrestler they can be.
  • Do I have to wrestle exclusively with 512OWC?
    No, training with 512 Outlaw Wrestling can serve as your "go to" or as a supplament to the training a wrestler receives from your high school or other club wrestling programs. We do offer year round training opportunities for wrestlers at all levels. We're devoted to not only helping wrestlers reach their full potential but to grow the sport and we believe we can do so by welcoming all.
  • Can girls be part of 512OWC?
    Absolutely girls can and they are part of 512OWC!!! Texas is one of the nationally recognized leaders in female wrestling, the second states in the US to sanction female wrestling as a UIL Championship sport in 1999 (Hawaii first in 1998, more information please go to Wrestle Like A Girl). We encourage female participation not only in the sport but to join and be part of the 512 Outlaw Wrestling Family.
  • Does it matter when my wrestler starts with 512OWC?
    No, we are a full-time wrestling program and coaches have coached beginners all the way to national champions. The coaching staff has the scope and bandwidth to aid in the development of your wrestler. Although our annual training calendar is broken into four distinct training cycles, Fall Preseason, Winter Folkstyle, Spring Olympic Style and Summer wrestling, if we have an engaged wrestler than anytime is the right time.
  • Is 512OWC only for the student athletes in high school?
    512 Outlaw Wrestling is a wrestling program, designed and founded on the principals to devote coaching expertise and resources to the development of all wrestler regardless of age or skill level. We work with wrestlers throughout the greater Austin, Texas metropolitan area, from elementray to our adult or masters wrestling program.
  • What do I need to do or turn in before my first day of training?
    On your first day training with us, as a month-to-month member or a "drop-in" member you will need to have register online prior to attending your first training session. If you are under 18 you will need a parent/guardian to do this for you. You can find membership options and practice schedule by clicking on this link, membership and schedule. You MUST present to a 512OWC coach your current USA Wrestling Athlete membership card prior to starting your first training session. If you do not have a current USA Wrestling Athlete membership, please visit https://www.usawmembership.com/ to purchase or renew a USAW membership. NO exceptions. If you are a first-time visitor to 512OWC your first training session with us is free. To schedule your free training session please click here and complete the online form. We'll respond to you shortly after we've received your request, and we'll get you scheduled and answer any additional questions you may have.   • What type of membership options do you offer?
    512 Outlaw Wrestling we off several types of membership, Month to Month, "Drop-in" memberships and for youth members, seasonal memberships. Month to Month Membership: Full access to all regularly scheduled training sessions and coaching at the selected tournaments 512OWC attends. Discounted rates on all 512OWC specially scheduled clinics or camps Opportunity to purchase 512OWC gear Billing charges are based on the day of the month you first enroll (i.e., if you sign up on the 22nd of the month, then the proceeding months you can expect incur charges on the same day) "Drop-in" or Single Training Session Membership Option: Access to all regularly schedule practice on a drop-in or pay per training session basis. All wrestlers wishing to participate on a "drop-in" basis are required register prior to attending their sessions.   • How do I sign up for a Month to Month Membership?

  • How do I sign up for a "Drop-in" membership?"
    All participants who wish to be a "Drop-in" member must first complete the online registration prior to attending their first training session. Drop-in registration can be accessed by clicking on this link scroll down to the bottom of the web page and and look for the Drop-in description and registration button. "Drop-in" or Single Training Session Membership Option: Access to all regularly schedule practice on a drop-in or pay per training session basis. All wrestlers wishing to participate on a "drop-in" basis are required register prior to attending their sessions. Payment for each drop-in is made prior to the start of the training session, in person with cash or a check made out to 512OWC You must provide a current USAW membership card prior to participating in your first training session.

  • How do I cancel my auto-payment for a month to month memberships?
    We must receive your request in writing a minimum of 14 days prior to your next bill cycle. This will ensure the next monthly charge is not processed. Please submit your cancellation request in writing by emailing us at info@512OWC.org.
  • Do you offer a trial class?
    Yes, your first training session with 512OWC is free. To schedule your free training session please click here and complete the online form. We'll respond to you shortly after we've received your request, and we'll get you scheduled and answer any additional questions you may have.   • What should I wear or what equipment do I need for practice?
    Water bottle, normal workout clothes such as athletic shorts (absolutely no zippers, no buttons and strongly perfer no pockets), anti-bacterial wipes, and compression shirt or t-shirt (nothing too lose) and wrestling shoes. For sanitary reasons and wear and tear, we do not allow outside shoes on our mats. Head gear, mouth guards, kneepads and other equipment may also be used during practice but are not required, you have the option to use based on your own personal perference. Please make sure finger nails have been trimmed.
  • What do I need to know about hygiene and cleanliness?
    Sanitation and hygiene are extremely important for all athletic sports. At 512OWC, the mats are mopped and equipment is cleaned and sanitized daily, often multiple times per day. There are a few steps every athlete needs to take to ensure they are doing what is necessary to keep our room being a safe, sanitary and clean environment. All athletes need to bring anti-bacterial wipes and use them to wipe themselves down directly afyer practice, shower immediately when they get home after practice with a quality soap and shampoo. It is important to keep fingernails trimmed. All clothes used in practice needs to be washed before it is worn again. All of the wrestler's equipment should be wiped down with a disinfectant and set to air out. If a wrestler suspect they may have any type of skin condition or abnormality, they are required to notify the 512 Outlaw Wrestling coaching staff immediately. These precaution are not only for the wrestler but all who are involved in the wrestling program.
  • Why do I need a USA Wrestling Membership Card?
    512 Outlaw Wrestling is a chartered club with USA Wrestling (USAW), the organization that regulates all wrestling in the United States. A USAW membership is for the protection of everyone involved and provides secondary insurance to those with membership. USAW requires that all athletes, coaches, and referees to obtain the proper membership to USA Wrestling prior to participating in any USA Wrestling sanctioned events, which includes club practices, tournaments, camps, clinics, etc.
  • Where do I purchase a USA Wrestling Membership?
    To purchase or renew your USA Wrestling Membership Card, please go to https://www.usawmembership.com. The membership year runs from September 1 to August 31. You may purchase your membership at any time during the year, however, the membership benefits do not apply retroactively and expire at the end of August each year. Your USA Wrestling Membership Card number will remain the same each year.
